The Cincinnati area has many professional junk removal and hauling services. These services will pick up and load what you want gone and many offer light demolition work as well. (Some also provide dumpster rentals as well, where you load trash yourself, however this is a different type of service from junk removal.)
We are focusing on highly rated, locally owned and independent service providers as opposed to nationally run brands or franchises since this helps keep more money in our community.

Things to Think About
When getting items hauled away, make sure you accurately tell the service what needs hauled away. Lying or concealing what needs picked up will either waste their time or result in a higher price tag when they arrive. For example, tires, chemicals, appliances, and even mattresses often have extra fees associated with the dumping or recycling of them. Additionally some services won’t pick up certain very dense items – think brick, tile, or concrete.
What Does Junk Hauling Cost in Cincinnati?
Rates will vary depending on a number of factors, but the baseline cost will often depend on the amount of space your items take up in the truck. Most companies use similar trucks like the one pictured below, and offer services based on filling up 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and the full truck. Common single items like mattress (usually around $100) and appliances often have their own rates depending on the company. A service based nearby might also help you avoid extra distance charges as well.
All services listed here will carry the items out to the truck or trailer for you. However, if you’re able to, taking the items to the curb will save you money compared to, for example, having them haul a mattress from the second floor. Of course, not everyone can do that, which is why these services exist!
Demolition and removal jobs will vary greatly depending on the size of the project. A hot tub might run $300-600, and a delipidated shed will be around the same cost.
As mentioned above, some items will have extra costs associated with their disposal, or will not be picked up by the service due to the hazards, certifications, or insurance they carry. Examples of items are paint, tires (unusual fact: it is illegal to carry more than 10 used tires in Ohio!), refrigerators and air conditioners, paint, and heavy, dense items like dirt, sand, and concrete.
Whenever using a service, make sure they remove and dispose of the junk properly. If the price seems too good to be true, it might just be because they are illegally dumping like Evans Landscaping or cutting other corners like insurance.
